Pipe Cutting Machines for Oxyfuel Cutting and Plasma Cutting
Pipe cutting machines or pipe cutting systems are used in steel construction for cutting and notching square pipes and round pipes as well as steel profiles.
Manufacturers of 3D pipe cutting machines are companies like: HGG Group, Voortman Müller Opladen, ESAB, Zinser, Sato, Messer Cutting Systems, Voortman, Kaltenbach, Ficep, Vernet-Behringer, Peddinghaus and others.
Laser cutting and plasma cutting are mainly used for cutting or notching profiles or tubes with a thin wall thickness. Modern plasma cutting technology from leading manufacturers such as Hypertherm and Kjellberg enables cutting of material thicknesses up to 100 mm. However, for material and wall thicknesses of 60 mm and above, oxyfuel flame cutting technology is usually used economically. The 3D contour data created in the CAD system are adopted by the CNC control of the profile flame cutting machine, thus enabling even the most complicated notches to be made on the profiles and tubes. The production of the often very complex geometric shapes requires sophisticated software programs and powerful CNC controls. But also a smooth material transport of the round tubes, the necessary fume extraction and the appropriate safety devices are part of a modern tube cutting machine.
