Band saws are used in the steel and metal processing industry for cutting steel profiles, solids and flat material. A distinction is drawn between horizontal band saws and vertical band saws. Besides this main distinction of horizontal and vertical saw cut there are further subdivisions of band saws with 90 degree cut and band saws with variable miter cut. Saws with an automatic material feed and able to cut the material in a pre-configured measure are so called band saw automates.
Since 1998 Nenok delivers the appropriate band saw or automatic band saw machine to the steel cutting industry. Well known manufacturers for horizontal band saws are Amada, Kaltenbach, Kasto, Behringer, Voortman, Meba and Ficep. The profitability of a band saw depends a lot on the use of good band saw blade. We recommend the high performance band saw blades of Röntgen. The bi-alfa saw bands from Röntgen Remscheid reach a long tool life and at the same time a good cutting performance. Nenok offers these saw bands at favourable conditions.
As in the steel processing and steel trading industry profiles have to be both cut and drilled the use of a combined saw drill line is usual practice. The main advantage of a saw drill line with band saw is the low space requirement and the staff saving as only one machine operator is needed.
