Review trade fair Schweissen & Schneiden

The international trade fair „SCHWEISSEN & SCHNEIDEN“ has taken place from 14th to 19th September 2009. Contrary to initial expectations many exhibiting companies gave a positive feedback.

Many national and international structural steelwork companies caught up on the newly developed practices referring to thermal cutting (both flame cutting and plasma cutting) and on new products relating to steel construction (such as sawing, drilling, punching and shotblasting). Well-known manufacturers like VOORTMAN (exhibition of a new shotblasting line), KALTENBACH (exhibition of a new burning line for plates that is designed for drilling with carbide tooling and both for flame cutting and plasma cutting) and HGG (exhibiton of a new pipe profile cutting machine) visited this trade fair. Further machine manufacturers such as MESSER CUTTING, SATO, ESAB, ZINSER, MÜLLER OPLADEN exhibited their new products as well. A multitude of component suppliers such as HYPERTHERM and KJELLBERG attracted the special attention of many visitors. The visitors have been given expert advice on the different pros of using plasma sources.

The trade fair „SCHWEISSEN & SCHNEIDEN“ becomes more and more an international communication platform for structural steelwork companies. However the „SCHWEISSEN & SCHNEIDEN“ is still of less importance than the EuroBLECH is.
