Voortman V600 drilling machine for drilling sectional steel and flat steel with movable drilling unit.

The drilling machine consists of a robust, torsion-free frame for holding and guiding the drilling unit, which is mounted horizontally (Y-axis) on the cabin. The CNC-controlled drilling unit can be moved longitudinally on the support frame, the adjustment or path measurement is from 0 - 18,300 mm. The maximum processing length of a steel profile is 15,000 mm. The tool change for the HSS cooling channel drills used is carried out with a manual quick-change tool chuck. The workpiece is fastened by a vertical hydraulic hold-down device, which clamps the component (profile or flat steel) at the previously approached position for the drilling process.

The drilling unit includes web and flange height measurement, automatic electronic stepless feed and speed control (constant monitoring). This enables optimum machining. The drilling spindle is adjusted by means of a frequency-controlled spindle drive. The drilling points are applied by the drill tip, which only drills one point.

CAD data for profile processing can be read in via USB stick as DSTV or NC data, as well as entered manually on the machine's control panel. The machine is equipped with Windows 98 -DOS.

Nenok HSS cooling channel drills are used, which are cooled internally with an air-oil mixture.
