Voortman VB1050 horizontal bandsaw

The Voortman VB1050 horizontal bandsaw with length measuring system is a powerful saw for the precise cutting of medium-heavy steel profiles.

This bandsaw is designed for the economical sawing of steel profiles up to a profile size of 1,000 mm and a profile length of 19,200 mm. This CNC-controlled Voortman VB 1050 bandsaw is equipped with a left/right mitre adjustment, a length measuring carriage with stop plate on the infeed side and roller conveyors as well as cross conveyors in the infeed and outfeed area for material transport.

Voortman VB 1050 working areas:

With a 90° saw cut, the working area is 500 mm x 1,130 mm
With a +/- 45° saw cut, the working area is 500 mm x 725 mm
With a +/- 60° saw cut, the sawing area is 500 mm x 470 mm

Equipped with a band saw blade measuring 9,550 x 54 x 1.6 mm, the band saw enables precise cuts. The machine weighs around 8,500 kg without accessories.

Voortman length measuring system

The length measuring system is located on the outfeed side. The material is automatically transported against the pivoting stop plate. The maximum measuring length is 22,200 mm.

• Infeed side:
  • 5 x cross transport with chain drag, 10,000 mm each
  • Roller conveyor approx. 20 m, roller width 1,100 mm
• Outfeed side:
  • 5 x cross transport with chain drag, 6,500 mm each
  • Roller conveyor approx. 30 m, roller width 1,100 mm

A Vacon 110 CNC control system is used to program the Voortman VB1050.
An outstanding feature of the Voortman VB series is the movable saw table, where the saw blade and cutting area move synchronously. This ensures that the saw blade never cuts the table and enables stepless rotation for precise cuts. For miter cuts, the table automatically lowers to allow free rotation to the next angle.

The programmable rotation for miter cuts allows infinitely variable selection and fixing of angles before cutting. Mitre cuts of 45°/60° or -60° to 45° are possible with the VB series.

For recommissioning, a new safety system must be procured and implemented in accordance with the local conditions (hardware & software; not included in the scope of delivery!).
