The Kaltenbach KDM drilling machine series is a high-performance drilling machine for processing steel profiles in steel construction, steel trade and plant engineering.

The KDM drilling machine is equipped with 2 horizontal drilling units and one vertical drilling unit as well as 3 automatic tool changers. The KDM drilling systems are suitable for drilling, contour marking, center punching, countersinking and thread cutting. Depending on the software version and tool equipment, this drilling machine can also carry out milling work. With its 3 powerful drilling units, the KDM drilling machine is ideally suited for the economical use of carbide drilling tools such as Nenok solid carbide drills and Nenok indexable insert drills as well as Nenok HSS coolant channel drills. In most cases, the Kaltenbach KDM is combined with a Kaltenbach band saw to form a saw-drill line and is used by steel processors. The KDM is equipped with the PROFILINE software package for programming and data transfer from a CAD system. This also enables remote maintenance and diagnosis by the Kaltenbach service department.

The Kaltenbach KDM 615 is a high-performance drilling machine for steel profiles with dimensions from a minimum of 50 x 5 mm to a maximum of 600 x 500 mm. The drilling machine is equipped with 2 horizontal drilling units and one vertical drilling unit and 3 automatic tool changers with 5 tool holders each. The Kaltenbach KDM 615 is suitable for drilling, contour marking, center punching, countersinking and thread cutting. Depending on the software version and tool equipment, this drilling machine can also perform certain milling tasks. With the 3 powerful drilling units, each with a drive power of 29.5 kW and a spindle speed of 1150-2,500 rpm, this stable drilling machine is ideally suited for the economical use of carbide drilling tools such as Kennametal KSEM drills, Hartner solid carbide drills and Multiplex insert drills and Nenok coolant channel drills HSS drilling tools. In most cases, the Kaltenbach KDM 615 is combined with a Kaltenbach KBS 620 or KBS 750 band saw to form a saw-drill line and is used by steel processors. Can be combined with a KBS band saw or HDM circular saw to form a saw-drill system.
