Kaltenbach KDS 615

The Kaltenbach KDS 615 profile beam drilling system is equipped with 3 powerful drilling units (one vertical and two horizontal), each with a drive power of 15 kW and a maximum drilling speed of up to 2500 rpm. Drilling speed of up to 2500 rpm. The largest workpiece dimension of the drilling machine is 640 x 415 mm, the smallest dimension is 50 x 50 x 5 mm. An automatic 5-fold tool changer per drilling axis ensures a quick tool change. The drilling machine is suitable for the use of carbide drills, interchangeable insert drills and/or HSS coolant channel drills in the dimensions 10 - 40 mm.

Kaltenbach KDS 1015

The Kaltenbach KDS 1015 profile beam drilling machine is equipped with three high-performance drilling units (one vertical and two horizontal), each with a drive power of 15 kW. The drill spindle speed ranges from 100 to 2,000 rpm (or 2,500 rpm). Depending on the year of manufacture, the feed rate is continuously adjustable from 40 to 1,500 mm/min.
The maximum workpiece dimensions for the drilling machine are 1,010 x 415 mm; the minimum dimensions are 50 x 50 x 5 mm. An automatic 5-position tool changer per drilling axis ensures rapid tool changes. The drilling machine is suitable for use with carbide drills, indexable insert drills (10–32 mm), and/or HSS coolant-channel drills in sizes ranging from 10 to 40 mm. The drilling machine can perform drilling, thread cutting, countersinking, and, as an option, 3-axis marking using a pneumatically driven special tool.

The CNC control system, together with the PROFILINE software, manages the tools and automatically programs the machining sequences. A T13 material transport system with a material positioning system handles the automatic feeding and removal of the profiles.
