The Kaltenbach KF sheet metal processing center is a modern and economical system for the automatic processing of sheet metal and flat steel. Kaltenbach KF Plate processing centre for complete steel processing from one single source Workspace [mm]: 2,600 x 6,000 (optional 12,000.) Its versatility makes it the ideal machine for the production of head plates, base plates, gusset plates, ribs, flanges and other components for plant construction. The Kaltenbach KF series is therefore particularly suitable for use in steel construction, the steel trade, metal construction and plant engineering. The combination of several processing types such as drilling, thread cutting, countersinking, center punching, milling, milling marking, embossing marking, oxyfuel cutting and plasma cutting are the strengths of the sheet metal processing center. Depending on the year of manufacture, all or some of the above functions are included in the system.
For more than 30 years, Kaltenbach KF Plate processing centers have been tried and tested, reliable production machines for tough use in the flat steel processing environment. These solid machines have been continuously further developed during their development phase and, depending on the year of manufacture, are equipped with an extensive range of special features. The new sheet metal processing centers are equipped with one or two processing units for oxy-fuel cutting and plasma cutting as well as one or two powerful drilling units with tool changer. The high drive power combined with high spindle speeds enables the use of carbide tools for drilling, milling (only on very new machines) and marking. These sheet metal processing machines have a high degree of automation because the material is conveyed through the machine to the individual processing units using a gripper measuring carriage and the finished components are removed on the outfeed side. Automatic removal systems are also available.
