Voortman band saws

The band saws of the Voortman VB series are all equipped with a miter device. In order to prevent the saw table from cutting in, the complete saw table of this machine series is rotated together with the saw band in the entire cutting area. Four different length measuring systems are available. Customers can choose between a gripper carriage, a pusher, a measuring stop and a measuring roller system for length measurement in the X-axis. The VB bandsaws are equipped with an air-oil spray cooling system. To ensure a long service life of the X-ray bandsaw blades, they are cooled with a finely dosed air-oil mixture at the cutting edges. All VB bandsaws can be combined with a Voortman drilling system or a notching torch system (notching robot). Extensive material transport system solutions ranging from simple design to fully automatic transport system with roller tables and cross transport fields are optionally available.

Voortman drilling rigs

The powerful range of drilling rigs starts with the Voortman V600 drilling rig. Most of the V-series drilling rigs can be combined with a VB band saw, a VN36 embossing unit and / or a notching torch or a notching robot. There are two model versions for material positioning and material transport. The machine users can choose different systems for the material transport located in the X-axis and the length measurement. Either a gripper carriage that pushes the material through the machine with tongs, a pusher that pushes the profiles through the drilling system via the roller conveyor, or the very fast and flexible measuring roller system in which driven measuring rollers both transport and directly measure the material are available. In some cases the drilling rigs have an additional designation as M-version (this designates the roller measuring system) or as T-version (this designates the clamp measuring system).

• Voortman V600 drilling machine

The Voortman V600 drilling machine is a cost-effective and space-saving drilling rig. The V600 is the classic entry-level machine for profile beam machining. The drilling machine is mounted on a support frame and moves along the workpiece (profiles and flat steel) in the X-axis. The V600 has a stable drilling axis and is designed for drilling diameters from 8 - 40 mm and thread cutting from M8 - M24. Depending on the year of manufacture and the choice of options, the drilling machine is also equipped with a high-performance drilling spindle for the use of carbide drills and an automatic tool changer. The easy to program CNC control is mounted on the traversing drilling machine. The machine operator can travel with the machine depending on the model.

• Voortman V613 drilling machine

The Voortman V613/1000 drilling machine is a 3 axis drilling rig with a swiveling drilling unit. The working range is 450 mm x 1000 mm and a max. positionable workpiece weight of 9000 kg. The swiveling drilling axis is designed for the use of HSS coolant channel drills in the diameter range of 8 - 40 mm, as well as for countersinking and tapping from M8 - M24. In the more recent V613 models from approx. year of manufacture 2006, the drilling unit is designed with a high drive power and high speed for the use of Kennametal and Hartner carbide drills. Contour marking with a high-frequency tool and the corresponding software as well as a VN 36 embossing unit for hydraulic embossing of letters and position numbers are available as options. Two VTC 5/40 tool changers with 5 positions for SK40 tool holders ensure fast and automatic tool change. Precise length measurement of the production material is performed either by a roller measuring feed or a measuring carriage with hydraulic gripper. The CNC-controlled V613/1000 weighs approximately 11,000 kg.

• Voortman V630 drilling rig

The Voortman V630/1000 drilling machine is a 3-axis drilling rig with 3 individual powerful drilling units. The working range is 450 mm x 1000 mm and a max. positionable workpiece weight of 9000 kg. The 3 drilling axes are designed for the use of HSS coolant channel drills in the diameter range of 8 - 40 mm, as well as for countersinking and tapping from M8 to M24. • Voortman V631/1050 drilling rig

The Voortman V631/1050 drilling machine is a 3-axis drilling-milling machine with 3 individual high-performance drilling units. The working range is 450 mm x 1050 mm and a max. positionable workpiece weight of 15,000 kg. The 3 high-performance drilling-milling units have an adjustable speed range of 0 - 4500 rpm. The drilling system, which will be available from approx. 2019, is thus optimally designed for the industrial use of carbide tools for milling, drilling in the diameter range from 5 to 40 mm, countersinking, and thread cutting from M 6 to M30. Contour marking with a high-frequency milling tool and the corresponding software as well as a VN 36 embossing unit for hydraulic embossing of letters and position numbers are available as options. Three tool changers with 8 tool positions for SK40 tool holders ensure fast and automatic tool change. Precise length measurement of the production material is performed either by a roller measuring feed or a measuring carriage with hydraulic gripper. The CNC-controlled V631/1050 weighs approximately 12,000 kg.

• Voortman V631/1250 drilling rig

The Voortman V631/1250 drilling machine is identical in construction to the V631/1050 model listed above, except for a larger working range. The working range for profile machining is 610 mm x 1250 mm and a max. positionable workpiece weight of 19,800 kg. The CNC controlled V631/1250 weighs approximately 14,000 kg.

Voortman drilling machine for plate and sheet metal processing

The Voortman plate drilling machines or plate punching drilling machines are designed to complement the flame cutting machines for punching, drilling, tapping, countersinking and marking of previously burned out steel plates.

• Voortman V200

The Voortman V200 plate drilling machine is an economical CNC controlled drilling machine for drilling, countersinking, tapping and marking of steel plates and steel sheets. These machines are especially suitable for the production of heavy head plates, foot plates and connecting plates in steel construction. Older V200 drilling machines of this machine type are designed for the use of HSS coolant channel drills. The newer V200 drilling machines are equipped with a tool changer and a powerful VD40 drilling unit for the use of carbide drilling.

• Voortman V250

The Voortman V250 plate punching machine is equipped with a VPC 1000 punching unit and, as an option, a VD40 drilling unit. Depending on the option selection, the CNC controlled punching/drilling machine is suitable for punching or drilling, countersinking, threading and marking of steel sheets and steel plates.
