Model series V6... from Voortman

The high-performance range of drilling rigs starts with the Voortman V613 drilling rig. Most of the drilling rigs in the V series can be combined with a VB band saw, a VN36 embossing unit and/or a notching system or a notching robot. There are two model versions for material positioning and material transport. Machine users can select different systems for material transport in the X-axis and length measurement. There is either a gripper carriage that pushes the material through the machine with a gripper, a pusher that pushes the profiles through the drilling machine via the roller conveyor or the very fast and flexible measuring roller system in which driven measuring rollers both transport and directly measure the material. In some cases, the drilling systems have an additional designation as an M version (this designates the roller measuring system) or as a T version (this designates the gripper measuring system).

model overview

Voortman V613

The Voortman V613 profile beam drilling machine is characterized by a swiveling drilling head that enables drilling of all common profiles on three sides, including beam flanges and webs. Equipped with two tool changers, each with space for five tools, the V613 is prepared to accommodate drills, layout marking tools, taps and countersinks. The use of HSS coolant channel drills, carbide drills with interchangeable cutting head and solid carbide drills enables flexible use with diameters from 6 to 40 mm, for carbide tools up to 32 mm and tapped holes from M6 to M30.

The VACAM control software processes uploaded DSTV or DSTV+ files in a fully nested manner and enables the machining process to be started easily at the touch of a button. The integration of conveyor units such as roller conveyors and cross tractors enables a fully automated process from loading to unloading of the fully processed products. Thanks to the online diagnostics for machines built in 2008 or later, the Voortman service department can access the system via Team Viewer.

The Voortman roller feed system offers fast and accurate profile measurement and processing. The combination of two driven rollers and two pressure rollers with a large contact surface ensures that the profile is securely clamped. The roller measuring system enables precise tracking of the profile position at high speed, eliminating waiting times. The automatic tool change, combined with the high level of automation of the Voortman drilling rigs, ensures virtually operator-free operation.

The V613 drilling machine is equipped with a swiveling drilling axis that enables the drilling of webs and flanges. A tool changer with 6 positions takes care of the tool supply and a marking unit embosses letters and numbers into the profiles. The swivel drilling spindle enables angular positions of -90°, 0°, +90° for 3 drilling axes. Minimal manual intervention and high flexibility are ensured by the automatic tool change with up to 10 tools. The V613 can process a wide range of profiles, including I-beams, H-beams, U-profiles, flat steel, angle steel, T-steel, square tubes and rectangular tubes.

The roller measuring system ensures fast and accurate profile measurement before drilling. The profiles are securely clamped with two driven rollers and two pressure rollers, and the measuring disks precisely track the position of the profile. The VN36 automatic numbering unit enables efficient part recognition and identification in production. With an automatic tool change of up to 10 tools, the V613 offers high productivity, while the rotating drilling head enables machining from three sides. The drilling machine is designed for diameters from 6 to 40 mm and thread cutting from M6 to M30. The operating range is 450 x 1,050 mm and the positioning weight capacity is 9,000 kg. With a rated power of 30 kW and a speed of 0-2,500 rpm (up to 3,000 rpm for young machines), the V613 offers a powerful drilling solution.

Voortman V630

The Voortman V630 drilling machine impresses with its triple configuration of drilling spindles and tool changers, each of which has five positions. This powerful drilling machine with 30 kW drill spindle power each and a high spindle speed of 0 to 2,500 rpm (newer machines up to 3,000 rpm) is optimally designed for machining with Nenok HSS coolant channel drills up to a diameter of 40 mm and Nenok carbide drills up to 32 mm. The tool holder for drills, countersinks and tapping tools is SK 40. In addition, the use of scribing tools on all axes enables the marking of profiles, while a driven scribing unit (optional) from below serves as a fourth axis for further marking options.

The generous working area is 450 mm x 1000 mm, and the maximum positionable workpiece weight is 9000 kg. Optional functions such as contour marking with a high-frequency milling tool, a VN 36 embossing unit for the hydraulic embossing of letters and position numbers and three VTC 5/40 tool changers with 5 positions for SK40 tool holders contribute to fast and automatic tool changes. The precise length measurement of the production material is carried out either via a roller measuring feed or a measuring carriage with hydraulic gripper. This CNC-controlled V630/1000 weighs around 12,000 kg and offers a wide range of processing options for maximum precision and efficiency.

Voortman V630/1250

The Voortman V630/1250 drilling machine is a 3-axis drilling machine with 3 individual powerful drilling units. The working range is 600 mm x 1250 mm and the maximum positionable workpiece weight is 13,200 kg. The 3 drilling axes are designed with a high drive power and high speed for the use of Kennametal or Hartner carbide drills. The countersinking and tapping functions from M8 to M24 and the use of HSS coolant channel drills are also possible. Contour marking with a high-frequency milling tool and the corresponding software as well as a VN 36 embossing unit for the hydraulic embossing of letters and position numbers are available as options. Three VTC 5/40 tool changers with 5 positions for SK40 tool holders ensure fast and automatic tool changes. The precise length measurement of the production material is carried out either via a roller measuring feed or a measuring carriage with hydraulic gripper. The CNC-controlled V630/1250 weighs approx. 14,000 kg.

Voortman V631

The Voortman V631/1050 drilling machine is an advanced 3-axis drilling and milling machine with three individual high-performance drilling units. Its impressive working area of 450 mm x 1050 mm and a maximum positionable workpiece weight of 15,000 kg make it ideal for industrial use. The three powerful drilling and milling units have an adjustable speed range from 0 to 4500 rpm and are optimally designed for the use of carbide tools for milling, drilling in the diameter range from 5 to 40 mm, countersinking and thread cutting from M6 to M30. The drilling machine, which will be available from around 2019, offers a wide range of machining options for maximum precision and efficiency. Optional functions such as contour marking with a high-frequency milling tool, a VN 36 embossing unit for the hydraulic embossing of letters and position numbers as well as three tool changers with a total of 8 tool slots for SK40 tool holders contribute to fast and automatic tool changes. The precise length measurement of the production material is carried out either via a roller measuring feed or a measuring carriage with hydraulic gripper. This CNC-controlled V631/1050 weighs around 12,000 kg.
