The bandsaw machines in the Voortman VB series are all equipped with a mitre device. In order to prevent the saw table from cutting in, the complete saw table is rotated together with the saw blade in the entire cutting area on this machine series. Four different length measuring systems are available. Customers can choose between a gripper carriage, a pusher, a measuring stop and a measuring roller system for length measurement in the X-axis. The Voortman VB band saws are equipped with an air-oil spray cooling system. To ensure a long service life of the band saw blades, they are cooled with a finely dosed air-oil mixture at the cutting edges. All VB bandsaws can be combined with a Voortman drilling system or a notching system (notching robot). Comprehensive material transport system solutions from the simple version to the fully automatic transport system with roller conveyors and cross transport fields are available as an option.

VB1050

The Voortman VB1050 band saw is a powerful solution for the precise cutting of medium-heavy steel profiles. With a generous working area of 500 x 1,130 mm for a 90° saw cut, 500 x 725 mm for a +/- 45° saw cut and 500 x 470 mm for a +/- 60° saw cut, it offers a wide range of applications. Equipped with a saw blade measuring 9,550 x 54 x 1.6 mm, it enables precise cuts. The machine weighs around 8,500 kg without accessories.

The Voortman VB1050 bandsaw is a CNC-controlled machine from the VB series, specially developed for automatic straight and mitre cutting of structural steel. Mounted on a heavy duty frame and equipped with the latest technology in servo motors and ball screw spindles, the VB series ensures optimum speed and quality for maximum production throughput.

The VB series bandsaws are characterized by a welded base frame that ensures maximum stability. This enables constant tensioning of the saw band and prevents deviations from the sawing line. The machine operates at a constant, higher pressure, supported by the robust frame. Numerous functions, including a chip brush for removing chips and a maximum force limiter for precise saw feed, extend the service life of the band saw blades.

An outstanding feature of the Voortman VB series is the movable saw table, where the saw blade and cutting area move synchronously. This ensures that the saw blade never cuts the table and enables stepless rotation for precise cuts. For miter cuts, the table automatically lowers to allow free rotation to the next angle.

The programmable rotation for miter cuts allows infinitely variable selection and fixing of angles before cutting. Mitre cuts of 45°/60° or -60° to 45° are possible with the VB series.

As an option, the VB series can be equipped with an automatic short part removal system that automatically removes head/saw cuts and short products, thus enabling fully automatic production. The system is particularly suitable for products up to 1,400 mm in length and is available in combination with a gripper carriage measuring system.

The height detection laser function ensures efficient use of the VB series. At the start of the sawing cycle, the saw blade moves downwards at full speed until the laser reaches the top of the material. At this point, the machine switches to the required sawing speed, which increases efficiency.
