With its headquarters in Varese (Italy), the Ficep Group is one of the leading international machine and plant manufacturers.

Ficep is represented internationally with numerous production sites, service and sales offices, thus guaranteeing the availability of spare parts and machine service for both new machines and machines that have been in use for some time.

Ficep S.p.A. was founded in 1930 by the Colombo and Giuliani families as "Fabbrica Italiana Cesoie e Punzonatrici" (Italian Punching and Shearing Machine Factory). As early as 1966, the first CNC-controlled profile drilling machine for the steel construction market was introduced as the beginning of automation in the field of profile steel processing.

With diligence, reliability and many innovations, the northern Italian family business Ficep has grown steadily and is now one of the world's leading companies for the manufacture of CNC machine tools and CNC-controlled systems for steel processing and the forging industry.

The subsidiary Mitrol s.r.l, which was founded in 1983 and is based at the same location, is responsible for the entire CNC control technology at Ficep as a developer and manufacturer. This has enabled Ficep to respond to many individual customer requirements in the development of its own CNC control systems and software solutions. Furthermore, thanks to the close cooperation with Mitrol, Ficep is able to react quickly to market requirements in CNC control and software development.
