The Ficep Group
With its headquarters in Varese (Italy), the Ficep Group is one of the leading international manufacturers of machinery and equipment for the steel processing industry.
Ficep is represented internationally by numerous production plants, service and sales offices, therefore the availability of spare parts and machine service is guaranteed both for new machines and for used machines that have been in use for a long time.
Ficep S.p.A. was founded in 1930 by the two families Colombo and Giuliani as "Fabbrica Italiana Cesoie e Punzonatrici" (Italian Punching and Shearing Machine Factory). Already in 1966 the first CNC controlled profile drilling machine for the steel processing market was presented as the beginning of automation in the field of profile steel processing.
With diligence, reliability and many innovations, the northern Italian family company Ficep has grown steadily and is now one of the world leaders in the production of CNC machine tools and CNC controlled equipment for steel machining and for the forging industry.

Excalibur drilling machine
Victory drilling machine
The Excalibur drilling machine and Victory drilling machine are CNC controlled Ficep single spindle drilling machines.
This cost effective and space saving drilling machine is an entry level machine for smaller steel fabrication, metal fabrication and plant construction. The Victory and Excalibur drilling machine moves on a stable support frame in the longitudinal axis (X-axis) past the workpiece to be drilled. The exact position of the drilling axis is recorded by a toothed rack and the integrated measuring system. This guide and support frame is usually 12 m to 18 m long and also serves as a material support. Surprisingly fast machining of sectional beams, angle steel, square tubes and flat steel is possible. Depending on the choice of basic equipment, the Excalibur and Victory CNC drilling machine is designed for drilling, countersinking, tapping, center punching, marking and notching with a milling cutter tool. Other options, such as an additional drilling axis for milling, an automatic tool changer and extensive software enhancements for the scribing tool (marking tool) for position marking are available.
