Ficep Endeavour 1203DD + Katana K126L

FICEP Katana K126L and Endeavour 1203 DD saw-drill line for profile steel processing in steel construction and steel trade.

This saw-drill line consists of a Ficep Katana K126L double mitre bandsaw and a Ficep Endeavour 1203 DD drilling line, which are linked to a transport system and a CNC control system. The system is designed for fully automatic operation. The band saw and the drilling machine have their own CNC controls and control panels, but are linked to each other for possible automatic operation.

Ficep ENDEAVOUR 1203 DD drilling system

The Endeavour 1203 DD drilling rig has 3 drilling axes, each with a 6-fold tool changer. The high drive power of 31 kW per drill drive and the infinitely variable speed range of 180 - 5000 rpm enable the economical use of drilling tools such as HSS coolant channel drills, solid carbide drills and carbide drills with carbide inserts or exchangeable inserts.
The maximum drilling diameter is 40 mm.
The tool holder is HSK 80 and the connection is W32.
In addition to drilling, the following machining operations are possible: tapping (M 14 - M 33), center punching, countersinking, scribing and milling.
The milling function (pocket or hole milling) as well as scribing is carried out with the component clamped via 250 mm displacement over the x-axis. This displacement also has the advantage that holes can be drilled very precisely and quickly in this area when the component is clamped.
There is no need for time-consuming unclamping, moving and re-clamping of the profile and approaching the drill.
Automatic tool measurement is also available when using HSS cooling channel drills. This is necessary due to the change in length when regrinding the HSS cooling channel drills.
The machine uses a gripper system for length measurement.

Ficep Katana K126L horizontal bandsaw

The Katana K126L double mitre bandsaw is designed with a mitre adjustment for mitre angles of 45 °/ - 60 °.
The length measurement and material positioning is carried out via a gripper measuring system in front of the saw. 2 gripper clamps are attached to the measuring system in order to be able to realize an overall structure that is approx. 4 meters shorter.
The system also has a FICEP marking unit type MKT 36N with 36 digits and a pressing force of 80 kN.
An autosorter with a width of 1200 mm is used for automatic parts removal after the band saw. This additional unit enables fully automatic operation.

The transport system for the material transport of the steel profiles

The infeed side in front of the drilling system is designed for max. 16 m long profiles. At the infeed, 5 x chain tractors with a length of 10,450 mm are positioned.
In the outfeed area after the band saw there are also roller conveyors for 16 m profiles and 5 x chain drag cross tractors with a length of 6,450 mm.

A roller conveyor is used to transfer material between the outfeed side of the drilling machine and the band saw. Outfeed side of the drilling system Roller conveyor length of 15,200 mm.

Ficep CNC control Mitrol Pegaso

The CNC control system is from Mitrol, a subsidiary of Ficep. The modern and user-friendly Pegaso software is used. The control and display with a touchscreen interface has a remote maintenance function and enables simple data transfer.
