The Peddinghaus ABCM 1250 CNC beam coping machine is a CNC-controlled cutting and notching machine with 3 oxy-fuel cutting units.

The ABCM 1250 is suitable for simultaneous notching of steel profiles and square tubes in the steel processing industries. With 3 oxy-fuel cutting units, the profile beam flanges and the profile beam web can be cut out economically at the same time. This enables the user to achieve three times the working speed.
Mitre cutting and weld bevel preparation on the upper and lower flanges is possible with this CNC-controlled Peddinghaus ABCM 1250. A reliable Siemens CNC 840Di control system is used to control and program the notching system. The cutting gases are set via a gas console on the operator platform (operator bridge) above the notching and flame cutting machine, on which the Siemens CNC control is also installed. This gives the machine operator an optimum overview of the flame cutting process. The system is equipped with an automatic torch ignition device. The system can be operated with fuel gases such as acstylene, propane, propylene butane and natural gas by using different torch tips.

Peddinghaus measuring system and material transport

The Peddinghaus roller feed measuring system ensures optimum material feed and measurement of the workpieces or profile carriers in the notching flame cutting system. The profiles are clamped by transport rollers and hold-down devices and transported to the position to be processed via a roller conveyor. Measuring accuracy is ensured by two additional measuring disks which are synchronized with the CNC control and the transport rollers via rotary encoders. A stable roller conveyor on the infeed side (20 m long) and outfeed side (20 m long) ensures easy transportation of the material into and out of the notching system.
