Description of Gietart Sprint A2508
Used Gietart Sprint A2508 shot blasting machine incl. accessories for sale. The model series Gietart GW2500-815 was renamed a few years ago to the new model series Gietart Sprint. The Sprint shot blaster series is due to its robust construction especially suitable for companies with a high performance expectation for a high blast capacity.
This used Gietart shot blasting machine was delivered in 2010 to its current location at a German steel construction company and put into operation in 2011. The plant is very well maintained in this company and is therefore in a good condition. The Gietart Sprint A2508 was manufactured in Hengelo Netherlands and is very suitable for use in a larger steel construction company or steel trading companies.
The shot blaster machine with a passage opening of 2.600 x 600 mm has 8 pieces of C380 blast turbines with a V-belt drive of an axial mechanical abrasive pre-acceleration and 11 kW drive power each.
The working speed is 0.9 - 1.8 m/min and the throughput speed 0.6 - 10 m/min.
For efficient blasting, round abrasive ø 0.9 - 1.2 mm, 45 - 51HRC or steel wire grain ø 0.9 - 1.2 mm, 1,700 N/mm2 can be used.

The unit is suitable for blasting:
metal sheets with a maximum width of 2,500 mm and a minimum thickness of 6 mm.
Profiles with a maximum size of 1,000 x 300 mm with a maximum sheet width of 1,600 mm
The transport length is at least 2,000 mm and the maximum transport weight 1,000 kg/m.
Shorter or thinner parts are transported through the plant via a wire basket. The parts to be blasted should be dry and only covered with rust and scale and free from other impurities such as oil, grease and paint.
The Gietart Sprint A2508 is a special height blasting machine with a low construction of only 4850 mm. This means that a split elevator is used for conveying the blasting material. The plant is sold including infeed roller conveyor and outfeed roller conveyor, each with a length of ca. 18 m and a roller aisle height of 630 mm. Optionally the suitable cross tractors are available.
The blasting machine consists of a 10 mm thick machine housing which is protected by a 4 mm thick manganese lining. In addition, the blasting chamber has a screwed 8 mm thick manganese wear strip lining which enables easy maintenance.
The inlet sluice and outlet sluice are each 1000 mm long and each has 8 rubber curtains to keep the abrasive in the blasting chamber during blasting.
Furthermore, the blasting machine includes a collecting hopper with screw conveyor and two bucket elevators, each with 5.5 kW gear motor and electronic speed monitoring. A transverse screw conveyor from the bucket elevator to the abrasive container as well as an abrasive cleaner with sieve and a triple cascade air cleaning system, an abrasive container with a capacity of 1,200 litres without abrasive, an abrasive pre-separator, an inspection platform with ladder, an abrasive control system and an electronic scanning in the roller table for abrasive control with automatic adjustment to the throughput speed. The workpieces are conveyed through the machine on 4 transport rollers Ø 140 x 2,500 mm and a further 4 transport rollers Ø 140 x 2,500 mm in wear-resistant, hardened design made of solid material.
The roller conveyor drive has 2.2 kW and is electronically adjustable from 0.6 - 10 m/min. with digital display in the control cabinet.
The blasting machine has an automatic height adjustment of the brush and blow-off unit. The adjustment of the 4 outer turbines is electro-pneumatic. A 2,000 mm collecting hopper with transport screw and grating cover is located under the discharge roller conveyor. There is a safety switch-off on the roller conveyor.

The brush blow-off device has a feed-through opening of 2,600 x 600 mm and an operating power of approx. 16 kW. The integrated workpiece cleaning is carried out with a rotating brush and a specifically bundled air flow. This consists of a machine housing with collecting hopper, screw conveyor and gear motor, 4 transport rollers Ø 140 x 2,500 mm, a screw conveyor in front of the brush, a safety device for the brush and a cross-flow blower. The brush, screw conveyor and cross-flow blower are integrated in a frame and are adjusted together to the correct height.

The control cabinet is equipped with a SIMATIC C7-633 text display in German language with operating elements for complete control of the plant and automatic starting of the drives. The operating hour meter and the ampere measurement of the individual turbines are integrated in the system and connected to a LED flashing light for signalling alarm messages.
