Voortman V630 + VB1050

Voortman VB1050 sawing line and Voortman V630 drilling line

This Voortman drilling saw line consists of a VB1050 and a V630 as a combination for economical sawing and drilling of steel profiles up to a profile size of 1000 mm and a profile length of 16,000 mm.

• Independent Voortman VB1050 bandsaw with own gripper measuring system and CNC control system

• Linking material transport system from the saw to the drilling line with roller conveyors and cross tractors

• Independent Voortman V630 drilling rig with own roller measuring system, with 3 drilling axes and tool changer.

Both CNC controlled rigs can be operated autonomously by their own measuring system and CNC control. The Voortman V630 drilling rig is year of construction 2018, the Voortman VB 1050 miter band saw with interlinking transport systems is year of construction 2020.

Z - Layout for optimal process control

Due to the Z - layout, the components sawn on the Voortman VB 1050 can be discharged without having to run through the drilling rig. The same applies to the drilling rig. The band saw and the drilling line can process jobs simultaneously.
In the VB 1050 bandsaw, the profile length to be machined is moved and positioned in the X axis with a gripper. In the V 630 drilling system, the length is measured by the roller measuring feed. The material is hydraulically clamped horizontally by two drive rollers and two pressure rollers and moved through the machine. Length measurement is performed by two separate measuring wheels. The clamping pressure is automatically adjusted steplessly depending on the profile dimension.

Voortman VB 1050 horizontal bandsaw

The Voortman VB1050 horizontal miter bandsaw saws max. +/-60°.
The saw cutting range is:
at 90° (H x W) 500 mm x 1130 mm
at +/- 45° 500 mm x 725 mm
at +/- 30° 500 mm x 725 mm
at +/- 60° 500 mm x 470 mm.
The band saw is suitable for the use of Arntz or Röntgen high performance saw bands in the saw band dimensions of 9,550 x 54 x 1.6 mm.

Voortman V630 Drilling rig

The Voortman V630 drilling rig is equipped with 3 drilling spindles and 3 tool changers with 5 positions each. The powerful drilling rig with a drilling spindle power of 30 KW each and with a high spindle speed of 0 to 2,500 rpm is designed for machining with Nenok HSS coolant channel drills up to diameter 40 mm and for Nenok carbide drills up to 32 mm. The tool holder for the drills, countersinks and tapping tools is SK 40. Scribing tools can be used on all axes to mark the profiles. Additionally there is a driven scribing tool as 4th axis from below.

- infeed side with 5 cross conveyors chain drag and roller table into the saw, gripper system to position profiles in the saw.
- Outfeed side, autosorter with crossfeed of offcuts / remnants up to a length of 1400 mm with max. 300 kg
- autosorter / discharge via 3 x cross conveyors chain drag , 1 x support incl. safety fence and light barrier
- Additional roller conveyor for further transport of long components

- Transfer to V630 drilling rig
- 5 x cross conveyor chain drag, each 7.5 m long , 4 x support

Voortman Vacam CNC control

Both VB 1050 and V 630 have their own control panel.
The control is from Voortman type Vacam 2.32.702, with TFT 15" screen, 2 x USB port, DSTV interface and remote maintenance module.
The user-friendly programming is done either on the machines or via a data interface from the office. Programming and transfer of CAD data is done in DSTV or DXF format.
The connection of a data interface to the office computer has to be done by the customer.

The V630 drilling rig weighs about 12,000 kg, the VB 1050 band saw weighs about 8,500 kg. We therefore have a pure machine weight of just over 20,000 kg.

Both Voortman rigs are in very good condition.
